Construction nuisance project Sint Jacob.

Koopmans gave an explanation of the expected construction nuisance:

Nuisance comes with every construction project. We are trying to limit it as much as possible and we try to prepare you for what is to come. We inform you per newsletter and where needed personally.

The construction nuisance will among other things consist of noise pollution
disassembly work, dust, construction traffic, construction personnel and of course the early time of the start of our activities.

Early time of our work is often a nuisance for the environment
incidental. We start early at our work from the same day in
can complete, within the preceding time specified in the permit.

Our working and purchasing times are:

. Arrival of staff: between 6-7 am
. Start of work: 7 a.m.
. 1e Schaft: 9 am - 9.15 am
. 2e Schaft: 12.30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
. End of working time: 15.45 - 19.00

July 4th: Hereby we send you some information about the demolition of De Nieuwe Plantage. For our construction we will start with the installation of sheet piling. This will start in week 29 and will take a few weeks. We use vibration-free foundation methods as much as possible. However, this can cause construction nuisance.
We are also going to demolish the last tip of the building. To realize this, we will use a hydraulic demolition machine, which will be placed on the Plantage Muidergracht. This will be done in week 28. We will use a traffic controller to guide the traffic during this period. All private homes and public facilities remain accessible.

Schedule:
▪ week 28: telecrane on Plantage Muidergracht, traffic controller will be present
▪ Week 29: introduction of sheet piling and tubex piles at Plantage Middenlaan
▪ Week 31: start of stabilization of monument (week number not yet certain, can still be moved)
▪ Week 33: start sheet piling through basement floor east (week number not yet certain, can still be moved)
▪ Week 35: start VSP (in the ground off pole)

Safety

A construction site may not be entered without permission. Also, with permission strict safety regulations apply. For example, construction boots / shoes and a helmet are obligated. Of course, we have this ready for visitors at the doorman. Visitors must always report to the porter, who is on the Plantage Middenlaan side of the project.
