Vapiano is a really nice, quick and affordable Italian restaurant next to the public library. No need to reserve a table, just walk in and enjoy your pasta, pizza or salad!
Spar is the closest supermarket, however it's really expensive. Therefore we advise you to go to the Albert Heijn supermarket at Jodenbreestraat 21. Ask for a free "bonus card" to get the extra discounts! (no credit cards accepted!)
The Dappermarkt is a daily, open-air streetmarket (Mon-Sat 9AM - 5 PM)) and is the best place for fresh fruits and vegetables. If you come at the end of the day you usually can get a big discount!
Kriterion, this cinema is completely run by students. Every Tuesday there is a sneak preview for only 5 euro's. A "sneak preview" is a movie that is coming out in the next weeks/months, so it's always a surprise what you are going to see. (Roetersstraat 170)
