A nice cafe: CREA is located 2 minutes away from our builing and with one of our RA's as a bartender, CREA is the best spot to have a drink/coffee!
De Biertuin is a great place which offers lots of local and foreign craft beers. It is also famed for having some of the best roasted chicken in Amsterdam! Make sure to check it out!
Albert Heijn (supermarket) is conveniently located underneath our building! A budget alternative is Lidl, only 5 minutes biking away. On Krugerplein square there are cool Turkish, Moroccan, Asian and Surinam shops.
Dappermarkt is probably the best food market of Amsterdam and is located just 5 minutes away from the Sarphatistraat. Here you can score really nice fruit, vegetables, fresh fish and meat for a better price than you'd have to pay in a supermarket. Oh and while you're there you can enjoy a freshly made stroopwaffel!
