Residents who share common areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, hallways or other parts of the building have a joint liability. Also residents who share a room have a joint liability.
Each resident is liable for the full amount of the obligations stated in the house rules. For example, when residents refuse to clean the common areas despite a request by Lieven De Key, the cost of cleaning by a third party, will be charged to all residents who use the facilities.
