Project Fire Safety Installation

The company Schoonderbeek has started with the replacement of the fire alarm system of your complex from 1 March 2019. The work will last until 22 July 2019.

In which areas are activities carried out:

In the rooms, in the hallway (pipes to the corridor, horizontal), general corridor, general kitchen and in the laundry room.

What will happen?

The existing smoke detector / signal detector is replaced by a new one and a new situation is created. The signal detector is hung in the room / house and the smoke detector in the hallway. To connect the detectors to each other a hole is drilled in the front of the hallway to the room.

When will the work take place?

From March 1 to 22 July 2019. Starting with Block A (Friday March 1 to Wednesday 27 March 2019). As soon as the planning of the other blocks is known, we will communicate this to the residents.

The employees of Schoonderbeek work daily from approximately 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Nuisance for residents:

Schoonderbeek starts at 07.30 hours in the rooms. There will be some noise nuisance during the work mainly consisting of drilling noise. The employees of Schoonderbeek try to limit this as much as possible.

Should you be at home?

Residents can be present while the work is carried out.You can find this day in the planning (see e-mail sent March 1 2019)

Since we are carrying our fire safety works we cannot proceed when residents are not at home. We have to work on a string of rooms and it is not possible to do this when one or two room are not accessible. Therefore a De Key employee will monitor the project and when the residents this employee provide Schoonderbeek access to the room.

Why this replacement?

The reason that the fire alarm system is replaced is because it is outdated. To ensure continued fire / smoke detection, the installation must be replaced. This is also a requirement of the fire brigade and the Municipality of Amsterdam.

We would like to ask you kindly and urgently to cooperate in this project.
